The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has suspended the investigation against Vahid Alagić, head of the Witness Protection Department within the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), the bh. news agency Patria (NAP) has learned from reliable sources.
The state prosecutor's office immediately ordered the lifting of the imposed suspension and that Alagić return to work immediately.
Otherwise, the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina sent an order to SIPA a few weeks ago to conduct an investigation against police officer Alagić, due to grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offense of abuse of position or authority, in the case of the Internal Advertisement for Promotion in the State Investigation and Protection Agency dated October 7, 2011.
After that, Alagić was promptly suspended by Goran Zubac, the director of SIPA. At the same time, Zubac refuses to leave his directorial position even though the state prosecutor's office has filed an indictment against him, and the Court of BiH has confirmed it, reports NAP.
