Traffic suspended on part of Bistrik-Lapišnica transit due to landslide risk

(Patria) - Traffic has been suspended on the Bistrik-Lapišnica main road (Sarajevo) due to landslide risk.

Traffic has been suspended on the Bistrik - Lapišnica main road (Sarajevo) since 10:40 AM this morning due to landslide risk.

JP Ceste FBiH conducted an analysis in the area where there is a risk of landslides or rockfalls onto the main road.

A decision was made that, for safety reasons, it is necessary to immediately ban traffic on that section of the road because there is a high risk of the road collapsing and that the road needs to be repaired and landslides prevented.

Members of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs are currently redirecting vehicles and securing the area.

The alternative route is through the center of Sarajevo, i.e., past the City Hall towards the Republika Srpska entity.
