Traffic suspension on M-18, caution due to rain and roadworks

(Patria) - Due to a traffic accident on the M-18 Živinice-Šićki Brod main road (near Omega), traffic is suspended. The alternative route is through the city of Živinice, with police traffic regulation.

Rain, especially in the first few minutes of falling, can cause a slippery layer on the road surface. Visibility is locally reduced, and due to the sudden drop in temperature and the possibility of steam forming above the road, drivers are advised to exercise additional caution. It is recommended to reduce speed, maintain greater distance between vehicles, and avoid sudden braking.

At the Izačić border crossing, there is a long queue of passenger vehicles exiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. At other border crossings, traffic frequency occasionally increases, but passenger vehicles are not currently waiting longer than 30 minutes to cross the border. The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons.

Roadworks are ongoing on the Podlugovi-Sarajevo sjever section of the highway, as well as on the main roads: Zenica-Žepče (Topčić Polje), Ustikolina-Goražde (Mravinjac), Sarajevo-Pale, Vrhpolje-Ključ, Olovo-Semizovac, and Jablanica-Prozor.
We remind you that traffic is permitted for all vehicles up to 3.5 tons of total weight on the Jablanica-Blidinje main road.
