Obuća condemns attack on Fejzić: Intrusion into someone's home is unacceptable, authorities must sanction the attacker

(Patria) - Last night's attack on the Fejzić family in their home, by the ruling structure, represents a clear indicator of political violence initiated by the suspension of the Constitution of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the representative in the Assembly of BPK Goražde and delegate in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament.

"Violent intrusion into someone's home and physical assault on a young woman represent not only a serious security threat and a continuation of the culture of abuse but also a direct violation of fundamental human rights and freedoms.

The fact that the mentioned crime was committed to achieve political demands and the direct realization of the threat made by the president of the ruling party about bringing "people's justice" to the streets and "punishing" the opposition is particularly concerning. This unequivocally signals that all differing political views will be met with violence.

I expect the competent authorities to urgently and impartially investigate this case, establish all facts, and sanction all those responsible, regardless of their position. Also, I call on the international community to monitor the situation in our canton and to support all efforts aimed at strengthening the rule of law, protecting human rights, and stopping the political repression of the regime," said Obuća.
