Obradović Condemns SDA Hypocrisy and Submits Formal Initiative to Abolish 'White Bread'

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Independent Bloc representative in the Parliament of the Federation of BiH Amer Obradović announced that he will officially launch an initiative to abolish the so-called "white bread" in institutions in the Federation as soon as possible.

He decided to launch the initiative after no other political party had done so following media reports about the huge sums that Sarajevo mayors Nedžad Ajnadžić and Nedžad Koldžo will collect based on this privilege.

An additional motive for this initiative is the hypocrisy of the Party of Democratic Action, from which these mayors come, and which "called on its club to initiate the abolition of 'white bread'."

"If the motives were sincere, the SDA would call on its cadres not to abuse legal but immoral privileges at their disposal, and would have long ago initiated activities to abolish such a practice, as was done at the state level," says Obradović, the Independent Bloc announced.

Representative Obradović states that the former mayor of the Centar municipality, Ajnadžić, and his associates will be paid 230,000 KM of budget money this year based on "white bread."

"With this nearly quarter of a million marks, we could have saved at least twenty small businesses and ensured the livelihood of their owners and workers in these difficult times," adds Obradović. 

The initiator emphasizes that explanations that officials whose terms are ending have a problem with employment do not hold water and that they should not be a concern and burden for citizens.

"When taking office, they must be aware that it is a limited term and that they should be paid as much as that term lasts and as much as they work. Those whose motive is working for the benefit of citizens must not have a problem with that," concluded Obradović.
