Children's playground on Šip renovated

Based on the agreement on the arrangement of smaller public and green areas that the Centar Municipality concluded with the utility company „Park“, the renovation of the equipment in the children's playground on Šip in Branilaca Šipa Street has been completed.

First, the devastated existing equipment, consisting of seesaws, swings and a slide, was removed. The play area was also arranged, new waste baskets were placed, and park benches were renovated.

- In this park, we installed a new play tower for children, climbing frames, a horizontal bar, and new seesaws. The installed children's equipment meets strict criteria for protecting the youngest from injuries. Of the remaining works at this location, during the autumn we plan to plant a new hedge around the playground up to the road in Branilaca Šipa Street to increase the safety of children in the park, as well as greenery that will further enrich this area - explained Nenad Radović, head of works at KJKP „Park“, who supervises and manages the project of arranging smaller public and green areas in Centar.

For the rehabilitation of the children's playground on Šip, 11 thousand marks were allocated from this year's budget. The Centar Municipality, as the project financier, allocated 255,000 KM for the arrangement of smaller public and green areas in the area of 15 local communities, and over the past five years, over 1,530,000 KM has been allocated from the municipal budget for this purpose.
