Call for Applications for Scholarships for Children of Veterans-Defenders of BiH in the 2025/2026 School Year

(Patria) - The Ministry of Veterans' Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, in cooperation with the Sarajevo Canton Fund for Scholarships and Education of Children of Veterans, Fallen Soldiers and Fallen Civilians - War Victims IKRE, has announced a call for scholarships for pupils and students from the area of the Sarajevo Canton, who exercise this right in accordance with legal regulations for the 2025/26 school year.

Scholarships will be awarded to secondary school pupils and first-cycle students in the amount of 150 KM, second-cycle students 200 KM, and third-cycle students 500 KM over a total of nine months.

The Ministry of Veterans' Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton continues this year with the implementation of the scholarship program for children from the veteran population category, with the aim of providing support for education and creating equal opportunities for young people's success.

Through the scholarship project, the Ministry has for many years provided financial support to pupils and students, children of those who defended Bosnia and Herzegovina with their contribution and sacrifice.

Scholarships represent an important form of assistance in the education process and motivation for young people to continue achieving good results.

The call is published on the website of the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, the website of the IKRE Fund, as well as in public media.

All interested pupils and students who meet the prescribed conditions will be able to apply within the specified deadline with the required documentation.

The call remains open until November 20, 2025 for pupils and first-cycle students, for second-cycle students until December 1, 2025, and for third-cycle students until December 20, 2025.

The Ministry remains committed this year to its mission - care for the veteran population and their families, through concrete support measures, among which the scholarship program holds a special place.
