Sad anniversary of the massacre at Solidarity Square in the Alipašino Polje neighborhood marked

By laying flowers at the memorial plaque, reciting the Fatiha and observing a minute of silence, a delegation of the Sarajevo Canton led by the President of the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton, Ana Babić, paid tribute to the victims of the massacre at Solidarity Square number 14 in the Alipašino Polje neighborhood today. At that spot, 24 years ago, a shell fired from aggressor positions killed 11 of our fellow citizens, while 53 were seriously and lightly wounded, reports the Patria agency.

- Today we mark another horrific event in our city in which our fellow citizens were killed - Babić emphasized, adding that we must nurture a culture of remembrance, and that is our most important task to tell young people "do not forget".

On that fateful day, the following were killed: Rifet Bahtić, Jasmin Đozo, Muniba Ganija, Nermin Gušić, Zoran Kafedžić, Sadrija Krasnići, Nadežda Puljić, Daniel Turkelj, Edin Ušanović, and two unidentified persons.

In addition to the delegation of the Sarajevo Canton, delegations from the City of Sarajevo and the Municipality of Novi Grad also laid flowers.
