Anniversary of the Keraterm crime marked: Around 3,000 people passed through the most notorious camp

The Alliance of Camp Detainees in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Regional Alliance of Camp Detainees Banja Luka marked the anniversary of the crime in the infamous Keraterm camp in Prijedor today.

As part of the commemoration program, a mobile exhibition of photographs by the Alliance about camps and camp detainees from 1992 to 1995 was also organized. The Keraterm camp, along with Omarska and Trnopolje, is one of the most notorious camps in the Prijedor region.

Survivors of the camp and family members of those killed in the Keraterm camp near Prijedor visited the site of the former detention camp in memory of the massacre committed by members of the then Army and police of Republika Srpska on this day 23 years ago.

Keraterm is one of the most notorious camps, through which around 3,000 detainees, mostly Bosniaks and Croats from Bosanska Krajina, passed.

A total of 463 locations have been found so far in the Prijedor area from which the remains of killed Prijedor residents have been exhumed.
