The initiators of the resistance and defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina marked today the anniversary of the founding of the Patriotic League in Ilijaš, reports a reporter of the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP). At the gathering where the importance of remembering the days when the defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina against aggression was being prepared was highlighted, representatives of the Patriotic League association and numerous members of this organisation since its founding were present.
Ilijaš was on the front line of defence, and the organisation of resistance in this town was of exceptional importance. Vejsil Šehić, from the Patriotic League, was one of those who first started organising and preparing the defence. He is still proud of the work of the Patriotic League.
On behalf of the leadership of the Patriotic League, Kadrija Škrijelj, president of the Management Board of the Patriotic League, addressed the many attendees. As Patria reports, he particularly warned that the memory of those who did everything to defend the state must be preserved, but also reminded that it is still necessary to show patriotism today, reports NAP.
