24th Anniversary of the Death of Vogosca Heroes Remzija and Hakija Marked

Organized by the Association of Veterans „Green Berets“ Vogosca, an Academy was held in the large hall of the Municipality of Vogosca to mark the 24th anniversary of the death of war commanders and Vogosca heroes Remzija Vejo and Hakija Mrša. Both are recipients of the highest war award „Golden Lily“, Patria reports. 

In one of the fiercest battles for Mujkić brdo, which took place in December 1992, Remzija Vejo laid down his life saving his deputy Hakija Mrša and comrades who were in enemy encirclement.

In addition to family members, municipal officials and members of veterans' associations attended the academy. Students from Vogosca elementary schools also attended the academy, for whom a history lesson was held about the war exploits that were synonymous with heroism, morality, and courage.
