Tens of thousands of citizens came to the hero city of Vukovar to be in the Remembrance Column. The President, Prime Minister, and the entire Government, as well as numerous parliamentary representatives, members of the diplomatic corps, the Catholic Church, and associations of veterans and political parties, are also in Vukovar, reports the BH News Agency Patria.
The commemoration of the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Vukovar in 1991 and the 23rd anniversary of the city's suffering in the Homeland War has begun in Vukovar.
As Croatian media report, separate columns set off towards Vukovar, but they merged and proceeded together. No incidents were recorded.
