20th Anniversary of the Death of US Officials and French Soldier on Igman Marked

On Igman today, the 20th anniversary of the death of three US officials Joseph Kruzel, Robert Frasure and Samuel Nelson Drew, as well as one French soldier Stephane Reault, was marked during one of the peacekeeping missions in BiH, with flowers laid by the US Ambassador to BiH Maureen Cormack, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- As we remember their sacrifice, we must also remember our responsibility and remain focused on the goal for which these people gave their lives - and that is a democratic, secure and prosperous BiH that offers the best possible future for all its citizens - said Cormack.

Representatives of the Presidency of BiH, the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of BiH, the US Embassy in BiH, the Embassy of the Republic of France and the OSCE Mission in BiH laid wreaths and paid tribute at the site of their death.

The ceremony, in addition to the highest representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of BiH, the US and French Embassies in BiH, was attended by the High Representative of the International Community Valentin Inzko, the UK Ambassador to BiH Edward Ferguson, representatives of NATO, EUFOR, the military-diplomatic corps in BiH, as well as representatives of government institutions in BiH and international organizations in BiH. 

The US Embassy in Sarajevo bears the name in honor of the American diplomat Robert Frasure.
