20th anniversary of the death of seven-year-old Nermin from Sarajevo, whose picture went around the world, marked

Members of the non-governmental organization "AntiDayton", as well as a large number of Sarajevans, marked the 20th anniversary of the death of then seven-year-old boy Nermin Divović on Tuesday at noon, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Little Nermin was killed by a sniper bullet by the Army of Republika Srpska at a pedestrian crossing between the National Museum and the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, during the bloody aggression of Serbia against Bosnia and Herzegovina, which began in 1992. The picture of the boy lying in a pool of blood on the street went around the world.

For several years now, the non-governmental organization "AntiDayton" has been reminding of the cowardly murder of the seven-year-old boy every November 18.

Patria journalists recently published a shocking story that Nermin's parents today live in Sarajevo in 18 square meters, are unemployed, and Nermin's mother is often forced to beg on the street to feed her two sons, one of whom is named after his murdered brother.
