Celebration of BiH Independence Day begins with flag-raising on Hum, exhibitions, film screening, concert at BKC...

(Patria) - On the occasion of BiH Independence Day, March 1, numerous activities will be held at several locations in the capital of BiH.

The celebration of 33 years of independence begins with the traditional raising of the BiH flag on Hum hill starting at 8:30 AM. The ceremony will be attended by members of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić and Denis Bećirović.

From 9 to 11 AM, laying of flowers at several locations and paying tribute are planned.

At 09:00 AM - paying tribute and laying flowers at the Kovači Martyrs' Cemetery, at 09:30 AM - paying tribute and laying flowers at the Eternal Flame Memorial, at 10:00 AM - paying tribute and laying flowers at the Memorial to the Killed Children of Besieged Sarajevo 1992-1995, at 10:15 AM - paying tribute and laying flowers at the Martyrs' Cemetery for killed police officers in Veliki Park - delegation of the City of Sarajevo, at 10:30 AM - paying tribute and laying flowers at the Vraca Memorial Park, and at 11:00 AM - paying tribute and laying flowers at the Novi Grad Memorial.

On the occasion of Independence Day, a series of film, music, theater, and archival-exhibition programs and content will be held at the Sarajevo BKC, marking one of the most significant holidays of our country. The program is titled "Remember My Song," organized by the Public Institution "Bosnian Cultural Center of the Sarajevo Canton," with the general patron of the event being the Government of the Sarajevo Canton, in cooperation with the City of Sarajevo.

Celebration program:

11:00 AM - Children's play "Tales from the Bosnian Court" – Gallery of BKC KS,

6:00 PM - Exhibition on the occasion of March 1 – BiH Independence Day – Atrium, Foyer, BKC KS,

6:00 PM - Award ceremony for the best art, literary, and video works by primary and secondary school students in the Sarajevo Canton, theme: "Homeland, grow with us" – Gallery of BKC KS,

6:30 PM - Concert of the Pop Rock School Sarajevo – Gallery of BKC KS,

8:00 PM - Documentary film "Remember My Song" by author Arijana Saračević-Helać – Great Hall of BKC KS,

9:00 PM - Concert "Remember My Song" - Great Hall of BKC KS

Performers: Mladen Vojičić-Tifa, Muhamed Fazlagić-Fazla, Zlatan Fazlić-Fazla, Mustafa Čizmić – Čizma, Davor Ebner, Choir "Seljo".

Admission to all programs is free.
