Thematic session of the Government to be held on Railways of the FBiH

The Government of the Federation of BiH, at today's session in Sarajevo, accepted the Information on the impact on the operations of the public company Railways of the Federation of BiH d.o.o. Sarajevo and other business entities that use rail transport due to the initiation of enforcement proceedings for tax obligations of the public company Railways of the Federation of BiH d.o.o. Sarajevo based on the Decision of the Cantonal Tax Office Sarajevo, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Following the discussion, the Government tasked the Railways of the FBiH to, in accordance with the Law, submit a request to the competent cantonal tax office for concluding an agreement on deferred payment and settlement of debt in installments over a period of five years.

The Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications was tasked, in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Railways of the FBiH, to prepare materials within 30 days for a thematic session of the Government of the FBiH dedicated to the situation in the Railways of the FBiH and to find a solution for settling the debt related to tax obligations.

The Government also tasked the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications and the management of the Railways of the FBiH to undertake necessary activities in order to postpone the hearing on the lawsuit filed against the Government of the FBiH regarding the implementation of the Law on Financial Consolidation of the public company Railways of the Federation of BiH d.o.o. Sarajevo.
