Nuno Gomes visited FK Sarajevo: I hope my experiences will help the Academy trainees

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Former celebrated striker of the Portugal national team and major European clubs such as Benfica and Fiorentina, Nuno Gomes, spent the last few days in Sarajevo to visit Football Club Sarajevo.

On Monday, September 3, Gomes observed the training of the Bosnia and Herzegovina A national team at the FK Sarajevo Training Center in Butmir, accompanied by General Director Sabrina Buljubašić and sports segment coordinator Emir Hadžić.

Gomes arrived in Sarajevo at the invitation of Sabrina Buljubašić to give a lecture to the members of the FK Sarajevo Academy.

- I am grateful to my friend Nuno Gomes who responded to the invitation to visit our club and spend time with the trainees of the FK Sarajevo Academy. Nuno was a great footballer, he achieved a lot in his career, and he certainly has a lot to say to the young trainees of the FK Sarajevo Academy, to share his knowledge and experience, which will help them in their development - stated the General Director of FK Sarajevo, Sabrina Buljubašić.

- I was in Bosnia and Herzegovina before with the Portugal national team when we played the play-off against the BiH national team, but this time I am here because of my long-standing friendship with Sabrina. I had the opportunity to walk around the city and drink water from Baščaršija, because Sabrina told me that it means I will return. I am truly delighted with the experience I gained here, and I am glad that I spoke with the Academy trainees, and I hope that my experiences will help them - stated Nuno Gomes.

In addition to visiting the club premises and the Training Center in Butmir, Gomes used his free time to tour Sarajevo, and during his walk, he took the opportunity to donate school supplies, thus joining the humanitarian campaign "Budi drug" (Be a friend) initiated by FK Sarajevo.
