Nuhanović suffers another humiliation: They wouldn't let him take the Monograph of the Sarajevo Philharmonic

Just one hour after the Patria news agency published an article yesterday stating that former director of the Sarajevo Philharmonic Emir Nuhanović (1994-2007) was not invited to today's promotion of the Monograph of the Sarajevo Philharmonic, and that he learned about it from the media, he received an invitation by email, writes the Patria news agency.

Nuhanović, we recall, said that no one consulted him during the creation of the Monograph, and that he did not even know there would be a promotion.

Although literally humiliated by this act, the man who during the aggression, and in the years after, was the personification of the Philharmonic, Nuhanović went to today's promotion held at the National Theatre in Sarajevo. 

And there he was taken aback.

- Imagine, pictures of eight former directors fit on two pages, while the last director Samra Gulamović is alone on one page. Doesn't that speak to the personality. And no one remembered the deceased members of the Sarajevo Philharmonic, nor the current ones. Prof. Bećir Drnda was a legend, Prof. Julio Marić, and where are the musicians who died during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina?

As if all the concerts happened without the musicians. If we hadn't been there during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, perhaps now instead of the Philharmonic we would have a "gusle society," said Nuhanović, who as director led the Philharmonic for 13 years, and in the Monograph only his name and the period in which he held this position are listed.

At the end of the promotion, he requested a Monograph, but they did not want to give it to him, not even for him to buy it.
