NSRS adopted the Declaration of the "All-Serbian Assembly"

(Patria) - The National Assembly of Republika Srpska tonight adopted the Declaration on the Protection of National and Political Rights and the Common Future of the Serbian People.

The Declaration, adopted at the so-called "All-Serbian Assembly" on June 8 in Belgrade, consists of 49 conclusions.

Among other things, it states that "the Serbian people represent a unique entity" and calls on international actors "to return to respecting the letter of the Dayton Agreement," RSE reports.

The adoption of this document was condemned by, among others, members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović and Željko Komšić, as well as the US Embassy in Sarajevo.

The Embassy stated at the time that the conclusions adopted at the "All-Serbian Assembly," which relate to the Dayton Peace Agreement and the independent state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, "do not represent a defense of the Dayton Peace Agreement, as the authors claim, but are a deliberate attack on that agreement and the state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina".

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, told the deputies today that "the aspirations of Serbs are unfulfilled".

- We have the right to act unitedly, and it is not directed against anyone - Dodik asserted.

The adoption of the Declaration was also called for by the President of the NSRS, Nenad Stevandić.

At the same time, SDA MP Ramiz Salkić said that "the declaration offers neither stability nor good neighborly relations, but continues to establish this entity as an exclusive territory of Serbs".

- And this is just a continuation of aggressive war policy by other, political means - Salkić added.

He referred to Article 1 of the Constitution of Republika Srpska, which states, as he said, "that all are equal and have equal rights".

- Therefore, this is not a Serbian entity. Not by cadastre, not by ownership, nor by anything else - Salkić stated.
