NSRS: Protest against the Resolution on the Genocide in Srebrenica adopted

(Patria) - The National Assembly of Republika Srpska, with 65 votes "FOR" out of a total of 65 present MPs, adopted a Protest against the violation of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina and general international law, which was considered under the agenda item titled, "NSRS's Stance on the Proposed Resolution on Srebrenica". The MPs debated this topic at the proposal of the Speaker of the NSRS, Nenad Stevandić, who coordinated the document with the Prime Minister and President of RS, Milorad Dodik.

It is foreseen that the adopted document will be sent to the representatives of BiH, Serbia, and Croatia, as well as to the signatory states of the Dayton Peace Agreement, and other member states of the United Nations.

The document has 13 points, and the first states that "NSRS sends a formal protest in response to the actions taken within the informal group of states 'interregional core' which submitted the final Draft UN Resolution on the Genocide in Srebrenica to the United Nations General Assembly".

"This formal protest primarily concerns the Republic of Croatia (Signatory), as well as the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of France, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the United States of America (witness states), as well as other countries that participated in sponsoring or co-sponsoring the UN Resolution on the Genocide in Srebrenica, a process that is contrary to the principles of general international law, particularly contrary to the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its Annex 4", it is stated, among other things, in the document which you can read HERE.
