NSRS respects BiH Constitutional Court decision: Parties decide independently on participation in early presidential elections of RS

(Patria) - The National Assembly of RS tonight adopted conclusions giving parties the possibility to independently decide on participating in early elections for the president of RS.

Tonight's conclusions were adopted after a multi-hour debate on taking a stance on the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH's decision to call early elections for the president of RS.

The conclusions adopted at the previous session in August under points six, seven, and eight, which were challenged by the Constitutional Court of BiH with a temporary measure, were annulled, reports Faktor.

Among them, the earlier request of the NSRS for Milorad Dodik to "continue to perform the function of president of RS to its full capacity" was annulled.

The point by which the NSRS "requests all political factors in RS, political parties, and individuals not to register for the early elections for the president of RS" was also removed.

The qualification that "participation in the elections would represent a violation of the constitutional balance and the annulment of RS" was deleted.
