NS BiH and INZ implemented all preparatory disinfection measures for matches in Zenica

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - During the pandemic and the danger of the new coronavirus COVID-19, one of the most affected areas of human life is sports competitions. After the initial cancellation of all sports events, international and local sports organizations have approached the development of plans for the gradual return of sports to the fields, with maximum protection for athletes and other participants.

Thus, international and national football matches have returned to the green fields, and this weekend and on Monday, Zenica is hosting the first major international matches, so the youth team of Wales were guests at the Crkvice Training Camp, while the national team of Poland is coming to Bilino Polje.

The Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NS BiH) has approached the preparation of these matches with maximum seriousness and in accordance with international procedures, also in the segment of epidemiological safety of participants, so professional assistance was requested and obtained from the Institute for Health and Food Safety Zenica (INZ), the Institute announced.

"As early as ten days ago, the Plan and Protocol of professional disinfection measures were developed, on several occasions at all key locations, using disinfectants that are on the list of permitted chemical substances of the competent bodies of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). Every individual move, measure, used equipment such as coveralls, PPE equipment, masks with filters, motorized and manual devices for disinfection, are strictly controlled, monitored, and recorded. I can express satisfaction that all our recommendations and advice were taken with utmost seriousness by the managers of the Center and the people from the Association, and that was not a problem because they are identical to what international football associations require from them," says the head of the Department for DDD Affairs of the Institute, Admir Gluhić.

In addition to disinfection, work was done on removing solid waste, rinsing floor surfaces, and a total of twenty-three key locations and surfaces were treated at Bilino Polje and the Crkvice Training Camp, on Thursday and Friday in Crkvice, and today (Sunday) and tomorrow (Monday) at Bilino Polje.

At INZ, they emphasize that the epidemiological preparation of locker rooms, tunnels, corridors, halls, and contact points on the fields themselves was carried out in a maximally professional manner, according to the highest EU standards, and that now it remains for our Dragons, after the youth team's victory over Wales at the Training Camp and a brilliant point in Florence against Italy, to round off the excellent September story from Zenica with a success against the Poles on Monday.
