Nožica for Patria: I will sue Nešić, he had all the instruments to verify the information and deliberately mentioned my name

(Patria) - Long-time lawyer Senka Nožica was treated as an arrested person in several media outlets yesterday due to the fault of the BiH Security Minister Nenad Nešić, in connection with the arrest of Ranko Debevec and Osman Mehmedagić. Lawyer Vasvija Vidović was detained at the SIPA premises in the same case. Although he does not have operational jurisdiction over the work of police or prosecution bodies, Minister Nešić gave statements to the media as if he were the spokesperson for SIPA or the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

In an interview with Patria, Nožića said that she would gladly sue the state Security Minister.

"He had all the instruments to verify that information and deliberately said it out of malice. He upset my family, my clients, my law firm. I will sue him with pleasure," Nožica told Patria.

She emphasized that she is disgusted by Minister Nešić's actions.

"I am truly disgusted that the security minister of this country, who should also be concerned about my security, can make such insinuations and blatant lies. Not only was I not arrested, but I am not even the defense attorney for Mr. Mehmedagić, I was not even at SIPA, nor do I have any connection to anything," she said.

Although she is a long-standing and experienced lawyer, the Bar Association of FBiH did not react to such false information, which should be their duty to protect the dignity of their profession and their colleagues.
