People of Novi Sad cry on the street: 'As if someone of my own died'

The news of the death of their fellow citizen Đorđe Balašević was met with complete shock by the people of Novi Sad. On the city streets, as the news spread, people were literally crying in disbelief.

"So, it's true. I hoped it was fake news and went out to check with friends. It's as if someone of my own died, I don't know how to describe it...", says a crying shop assistant from a boutique in Zmaj Jovina street.

The same sad faces are all over the city, and most cafes in the center have spontaneously started playing Đole's music in their establishments.

"I can't say I listened to him, but, man, it really hit me hard... It's Đole after all", mumbled a waiter from a pub, writes Nova.rs.
