Newly Appointed Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in BiH Visits DKPT

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Newly appointed Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in BiH Ellen Germain visited today the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH where she met with Mirsad Vilić, Director of the Directorate.

Director Vilić congratulated Germain on her appointment and welcomed her to BiH. He presented the legal competencies of the Directorate and its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He highlighted the aspect of international operational police cooperation, as well as the results achieved in the area of coordination and cooperation with other bodies. He presented the results of successfully implemented activities in the previous period.

He referred to future plans, which relate to further capacity building of the Directorate, improvement of material and technical equipment, and especially continuous training and education of police officers.

Vilić emphasized that the Directorate is enhancing its capacities in order to respond more adequately and successfully to all challenges. He thanked the U.S. Embassy in BiH, which continuously provides support to both the Directorate and other law enforcement agencies in BiH.

During the meeting, Germain thanked for the welcome. The U.S. Embassy recognized the Directorate as a reliable partner and expressed confidence that the successful cooperation with the Directorate will continue in the future.
