Novo Sarajevo: Public surfaces disinfected in the municipality

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - As a continuation of activities to prevent the spread of the disease caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19), on Friday, March 20, until the early morning hours of March 21, systematic disinfection of public surfaces throughout the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo was carried out.

According to the commander of the Civil Protection Staff of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo and the municipal mayor Nedžad Koldžo, this is another measure being implemented to increase and improve the hygienic and epidemiological situation in the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo.

“Systematic disinfection covered public surfaces in the municipality, and the teams on the ground also worked manually to disinfect park areas and furniture. Technology that is not dangerous to human and animal health was used in this process,” emphasized the commander of the Civil Protection Staff Nedžad Koldžo, the municipality announced.

The municipal Civil Protection Staff, members of the Novo Sarajevo 1934 Fire Brigade and the Third Police Administration, as well as local community councils participated in the implementation of the systematic disinfection of public surfaces throughout the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo.

The company "Sanitacija" d.o.o. Sarajevo was in charge of carrying out the systematic disinfection in the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo.

We appeal once again to all citizens to adhere to all instructions from the Crisis Staffs, including the Civil Protection Staff of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, given the epidemiological situation.
