New peaceful gathering of citizens in front of the Uborak landfill

(Patria) - The citizens' initiative  "Because it concerns us" announces a new peaceful gathering of citizens in front of the Uborak landfill, which will be held on Monday, 09/23/2019, and the gathering starts at 18:30. A protest drive will also be held before the peaceful gathering.

"We want to emphasize once again that we are exclusively interested in the issues surrounding the landfill at the Uborak site and we reject any attempts at spin and connection with anyone.

A group of citizens with different national, political, and other affiliations has been united from the beginning with honorable intentions and a common goal. We have documented and publicly disclosed numerous irregularities in operations, waste disposal, etc. We have constantly informed the public of new evidence and arguments.

We remind you that the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism rejected the request for an extension of the environmental permit," it was announced.

The purpose of the gathering is precisely to draw attention to this fact and numerous other arguments, and we especially want to call on the competent institutions to adhere to the signed Agreement, and most importantly, to find a new location for the landfill soon.
