Journalists in priority group for vaccination in Brčko District

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Department of Health and Other Services of the Brčko District Government informed the BH Journalists' Association that it has corrected the COVID-19 vaccination plan in the District, so that media representatives are now included in the first phase.

In response to the proposals of the BH Journalists' Association that, when determining priorities for vaccination against COVID-19, journalists be included in priority categories after medical workers and vulnerable categories of the population are vaccinated, they state that from the medical professional perspective, they have made corrections to the COVID-19 Vaccination Plan in Brčko District of BiH, so that now in Phase 1 of vaccination, in addition to medical workers and vulnerable categories of the population, media representatives (journalists, cameramen and others) are also included.

"Taking into account the importance of the journalistic profession in a democratic society as well as the immeasurable contribution to informing the public about the coronavirus pandemic and all the social consequences it has caused, the above-mentioned supplement was made so that members of the journalistic profession can continue to perform their jobs in a safe and free manner - states in the letter from the Department of Health and Other Services of the Brčko District Government.
