RTV Visoko journalist Ismar Imamović brutally beaten after pre-election TV debate

A journalist from Radio-television Visoko was brutally beaten on Tuesday evening, after a pre-election debate show on this television station.

The editor of RTV Visoko's pre-election program, Ismar Imamović, confirmed to Patria that after leaving the RTV Visoko building, half an hour after midnight, he was attacked by a masked man who knocked him to the ground and then brutally beat him.

The case has been reported to the police in Visoko.

- I don't want to think about the motives for the attack. I can only say that I try to be objective towards all political parties and their candidates, who are fighting in the pre-election campaign to win over voters in the upcoming local elections – Imamović told Patria.

- I hope the police will shed light on this case soon. An attack on journalists is an attack on citizens – he added.

The public enterprise RTV Visoko has been in the spotlight for several months. Municipal councilors from the local SDA are trying to dismiss the Supervisory Board of this television, but they do not have sufficient support in the Municipal Council.

All political parties in Visoko have condemned the attack on journalist Imamović.
