New strike of healthcare workers, protest in Velika Kladuša tomorrow

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At an extraordinary session of the Assembly of the Basic Organization of the Independent Trade Union of Workers Employed in the Public Health Institution Health Center Velika Kladuša held on Friday, it was decided that a one-hour warning strike will be held on Monday, January 17.

With the warning strike, employees of the Health Center Velika Kladuša will express their dissatisfaction due to the unpaid December salary and, as they stated, the work of the Health Insurance Fund of Una-Sana Canton and the irresponsible behavior of the ruling structures of the Canton towards employees in public healthcare.

Namely, without the adopted Financial Plan for 2022 and the Decision on temporary financing by the Assembly of Una-Sana Canton, the Health Insurance Fund cannot transfer funds to healthcare institutions. Golubović adds that public healthcare employees are also prepared for a general strike if their demands are not met. In recent days, healthcare workers in other municipalities of the Canton have also expressed their dissatisfaction with unpaid December salaries through a warning strike, reports krajina.ba.
