New coronavirus cases in BiH: Five more infected in Konjic, total nine

(Patria) - In Konjic, a total of nine people have been infected with coronavirus so far, following the anniversary celebration of the company "Igman".

"Yesterday we conducted additional tests, we took a total of 11 samples, and from those 11 cases, we received positive results for five. We previously tested four people, all of whom were positive. This means that we have conducted a total of 15 tests so far, of which nine were positive. We also plan to take additional samples from people who were in contact with the infected," said Armina Lazarević, chief epidemiologist at the Konjic Hospital, for Oslobođenje.

According to her, only one of the first four discovered cases is an employee of the "Igman" factory, while the other three are not employees of this company.

"All nine discovered cases have mild clinical symptoms, and there are also several asymptomatic cases, so they have all been sent home for self-isolation, and we continue to monitor their condition," Lazarević added.

The director of the Igman factory, Đahid Muratbegović, told us that he also has mild symptoms and is recovering at home.

"As soon as we were informed about the positive results, we closed the factory for at least 15 days, and disinfection and deratization of the factory are currently underway," Muartbegović added.

The director of the GINEX company from Goražde, Munevera Fočo, was also infected at the same celebration, so this celebration alone, held on March 11, has so far brought 10 new cases of coronavirus infection to BiH.
