New composition of the Election and Appointment Committee narrowly passed, first 49, then 50 MPs voted

(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament confirmed amendments to the composition of the Election and Appointment Committee of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament by a narrow majority after midnight. In the first vote, there were 49 votes in favor, and then a roll-call vote was requested in which 50 MPs from the ruling majority declared themselves in favor.

Instead of Dajana Čolić from DF and Edina Gabela from SBiH, Elzina Pirić (PDA) and Petar Galić (HNP) were appointed to the Committee. There was also a change of one SDP member, so Damir Mašić left this committee and Senad Subašić was appointed. However, Mašić voted in favor of the changes to this committee.

The SDP, HDZ BiH, HNP, Our Party, NIP, Elzina Pirić, Arnel Isak, Kenan Uznunović, and Mario Karamatić voted for the new composition of the Committee.

This opens the way for the ruling majority to propose and appoint to numerous positions, including the position of a constitutional judge.

Given the absolute majority that the ruling parties have in the Election and Appointment Committee, it is difficult to expect that the entire list of successful candidates will be sent to the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, but only the name of Marin Vukoja, close to HDZ BiH, will be sent.

This Committee will very soon deal with other positions, and appointments to the Management Board of the Federal Radio Television and the Independent Board of the FBiH Parliament have already been announced.

The Committee has 11 members, and from the opposition, only Eldar Čomor from SDA and Irfan Durić from NES remain.
