
(Patria) - The US Embassy in Sarajevo today organized a meeting on the Southern Interconnection with representatives of coalition parties in the Federation of BiH at the working level.
This meeting followed a meeting with political leaders held on November 20.
All parties agreed that it is urgent for the construction of the Southern Interconnection gas pipeline to begin in 2026, and that in order to achieve this, an agreement between BiH and Croatia needs to be harmonized and concluded as soon as possible, to enable the import of American liquefied natural gas into BiH.

US Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, and US Ambassador to Croatia Nicole McGraw strongly supported this initiative last week, emphasizing the importance of reliable and predictable energy supply for the entire region, the US Embassy in BiH announced tonight on platform X.
