New regime in practice, buses from Ilidža to Čengić Vila then to tram

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Due to the reconstruction of the tram line from Nedžarići to the RTV home, tram traffic will operate from Čengić Vila starting today, which is why a temporary change in traffic regime is in effect in this part of the city.

The Minister of Transport of KS, Adnan Šteta, was on the ground this morning with the directors of Centrotrans, GRAS, and the company BOSMAN, Safudin Čengić, Senad Mujagić, and Osman Jahić.

One part of the road near the turning loop at Čengić Vila has been converted into a bus stop, while the other road is two-way. This will increase the safety of passengers who will not have to cross the road when transferring from buses to trams and vice versa.

The number of tram vehicles from Čengić Vila, which will run every four minutes, has been increased, and the total number of buses on the Ilidža-Baščaršija route, including buses that will run to Čengić Vila, is 34.

"Given that this is a change for all of us, we were on the ground this morning to ensure functionality. Everything is proceeding as planned. We also monitored the traffic situation from the Traffic Center, which we will continue to do in the future, and we are available to citizens for all questions, and we ask for their understanding and patience," said Minister Šteta.

Coupons from both carriers will be valid in all vehicles, and a purchased ticket will be valid in both buses and trams.
