New Pressure on Media in Bosnia and Herzegovina: RTV Visoko Computers Hacked, No Program Broadcast

New pressure on journalists of RTV Visoko. A hacker attack was carried out on the public company RTV Visoko, causing this local television station not to broadcast its program since Friday afternoon.

The television director Advija Mutap confirmed to the Patria news agency that RTV Visoko has not been broadcasting its program since 2:00 PM today, and that they do not know when technicians will be able to resolve the issue.

- We reported the case to the police and the Communications Regulatory Agency (RAK) - Mutap told Patria. She did not wish to comment on the motives behind the attack on the television station, nor whether politics is behind it all, except that she hopes the police will identify the perpetrators.

This local television station has been under strong pressure in recent months. The founder of the television station is the Municipality of Visoko. After the municipal mayor Amra Babić left the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), SDA councilors in the Municipal Council requested the dismissal of the television's Supervisory Board, but they do not have sufficient support from other councilors. The dismissal of the Supervisory Board of RTV Visoko will also be discussed tonight at the Council session, Patria reports.

On Tuesday evening, the host of the pre-election program of RTV Visoko was brutally beaten, Patria reports.
