New BHRT Board Members on Hold: Political Consultations Not Completed!

The appointment of members of the Management Board of the Public Radio-Television Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina from among the Bosniak, Croatian and Serbian peoples will not be carried out at the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and as we previously reported, it seems that the ranking list established by the Communications Regulatory Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina will not be respected, Patria writes.

This refers to the member from the Bosniak people, because although the top-ranked candidate was Emir Hadžimuratović, the Collegium of the House of Representatives proposed the third-placed Mufid Memija.

From the Croatian people, Zoran Krešić was proposed, and from the Serbian people, Dejana Radovanović Šarenac.

Šefik Džaferović said that the Collegium decided this after consultations.

Diana Zelenika (HDZ 1990) stated that the CV of the fourth-placed Drago Martinović, who comes from the Croatian people, is impressive.

- He holds a doctorate, specifically in the field of RTV services. I am interested in what guided the Commission, besides suitability, in creating such a list – Zelenika said.

Mirsad Đonlagić said he is interested in how these three names were proposed.

- I don't know any of the proposed individuals, but it is not fair of the Collegium not to at least announce at the expanded Collegium that we will not vote on the Ranking lists – Đonlagić said.

Damir Arnaut (SBB) noted that they were not consulted as a Club.

- This passed the commission phase and the list was forwarded to the House for decision. I do not see a procedural connection for the Collegium to submit this list to the House. Please tell me under which article the Collegium made changes to this list. This should be accompanied by some act. If you are doing this based on an act, under which article are you giving us a different ranking list compared to the established ranking list of the RAK and the one determined by the commission – Arnaut said.

Mirsad Mešić stated that the SDP will not support any Ranking list, but that he is surprised that the Collegium is making a new list on its own.

The SBB Club requested a 15-minute break to conduct consultations within the club.

Šefik Džaferović, after the break requested by the SBB, proposed that this item be postponed to the next session, because he learned that the necessary consultations had not been carried out after all.

This initiative was accepted, and new members of the BHRT Management Board will not be elected until next week.
