New Ambassador of Great Britain arrived in BiH

The new Ambassador of Great Britain to BiH is Edward Ferguson, and he will take over the duty next month. He wrote on his Twitter profile that after five months of learning the language, he has finally arrived in BiH, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

- Until I take over my duties, I am exploring BiH – Ferguson wrote.

Otherwise, he will replace Nigel Casey, the now former Ambassador of Great Britain to BiH. In his career so far, Ferguson has worked in the Ministry of Defence, and he spent two years in Afghanistan and Pakistan overseeing British military troops in peacekeeping missions. He was also responsible for bilateral relations with the USA, Canada, and the Western Balkan countries, as well as political advisor on Iraq issues.

Earlier, Ferguson stated that he is privileged to serve as Ambassador to BiH.

- Great Britain is a long-standing and dedicated friend of BiH, and we are ready to help it move forward towards the EU and NATO. I look forward to getting to know this beautiful and diverse country – Ferguson said, reports NAP.

He is married and has a son and a daughter.
