(Patria) - The legal team of former Federation Prime Minister Fadil Novalić confirmed to Hayat television that they have filed an appeal with the European Court of Human Rights.
In this way, as they say, they want to use the last legal mechanism, which is used after all regular legal mechanisms in BiH have been exhausted, with the aim of protecting the interests of their client.
They did not go into detail about the content of the application because they do not want to prejudge anything, but they emphasize that it was difficult to find a similar example to Novalić's case.
- Believe me, it was difficult to find compatible case law from previous cases before the European Court of Human Rights, because what has been done to the detriment of Novalić before the domestic judiciary in BiH is hard to find anywhere else.
We must say that in the end, a very significant decision of the European Court of Human Rights was found, which resulted in a positive outcome for that applicant, which we as a legal team believe is compatible with Novalić's case.
It concerns a violation of Article 7 of the European Convention on Human Rights - said Elmir Jahić, a member of Novalić's legal team.
