Novalić dismissed advisor Gurbet, hid his conviction

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić today dismissed Muhamed Gurbet from his position as advisor following information revealed to the public regarding his prior conviction.

"I was never aware that he had been convicted, and I simply did not suspect it, because he even submitted a court certificate with a seal and signature stating that he had not been convicted. I did this after today's findings as a precaution, because the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina does not have the jurisdiction to verify official documents from judicial institutions. Gurbeta is no longer my advisor as of today," said the Federal Prime Minister.

The official documentation submitted by Gurbeta also included a Certificate issued by the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, which stated that no indictment had been filed against him that had entered into legal force, nor had an indictment been confirmed, nor had a conviction been issued for a criminal offense with a prescribed prison sentence of up to five years or a fine as the main penalty.
