Novalić with Reis Kavazović: Resolve the Financing of the Interreligious Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, visited today the Reis-ul-Ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović. The meeting discussed the implementation of the Law on the Position of Churches and Religious Communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is being implemented at the entity level. In particular, the possibility of implementing the part of the Law concerning the financing of contributions on the salaries of religious officials of religious communities covered by this law was discussed.

Also discussed was the obligation of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to finance the work of the Interreligious Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina, based on a previously signed mutual agreement.

It was agreed that at the next session of the Federal Government, an attempt would be made to resolve the issue of the annual participation of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in financing the work of the Interreligious Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
