Novalić and Palmer: Focus on Euro-Atlantic Integration and Fight Against Corruption

(Patria) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić said after a meeting with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Palmer that the focus was on topics of Euro-Atlantic integration and the fight against corruption.

"All these meetings are about shaping the international community's view of BiH. A perspective on BiH is being formed. We want support from the EU, and that means budgetary support. And to guarantee social peace in the coming years. We also seek support for investment projects, and we are not only talking about Corridor 5c, which is covered for financing. I mean railways and other infrastructure projects," Novalić said.

Novalić said that the actors from BiH, when asked what they would like the U.S. to help our country with, stated that it is, besides the economy, Euro-Atlantic integration on the external front and the fight against corruption on the domestic front.

"This primarily includes the judicial system and the public sector, which is cumbersome and thus generates the highest percentage of corruption," Novalić added.
