(Patria) - The suspension of coal deliveries from the Brown Coal Mine (RMU) Banovići to the Tuzla Thermal Power Plant (TE) is a new blow to the electricity system of the Federation of BiH.
It is yet another confirmation of the complete incompetence of the imposed authorities, believes former Federal Prime Minister and current representative in the Federal Parliament, Fadil Novalić.
Novalić points out that through irresponsible personnel policy, incompetence and ignorance, the current authorities have already led to an increase in electricity prices for the economy.
- And now the citizens of the FBiH will obviously also bear the costs of the political trade by which this government was formed, because RMU Banovići, which the Troika handed over to PDA, is demanding higher purchase prices for coal compared to the price that Elektroprivreda BiH is willing to pay - Novalić stated.
He emphasizes that the difference in price or new concessions by the Troika in exchange for PDA's support in the FBiH Parliament will again be paid by the citizens, who are already humiliated by the fact that their gas heating from January 1 depends on the goodwill of Milorad Dodik, given that the imposed authorities did not deign to start negotiations in time for concluding a new gas transport contract with the company "Sarajevo gas" Istočno Sarajevo.
- Instead, they gave the green light for the Eastern Gas Interconnection project, which would further strengthen dependence on Russian gas transported through the RS entity - Novalić adds.
He stresses that the price of irresponsibility, ignorance, political trade and mutual blackmail on which the imposed authorities function is already being paid by pensioners whose pensions will not be increased in January as the Government promised, because it did not prepare the budget for 2024.
- The price is also paid by workers, whom the imposed authorities have been trying to deceive for months with promises of adopting a set of fiscal laws and a minimum wage that, instead of the triumphantly announced 1,000 KM from January 1, 2024, will amount to 619 KM according to the Government's decision.
Instead of promised lower electricity prices, higher salaries and pensions, meritocracy and other populist promises that were not enough for them to come to power, so they had to impose them through a one-day suspension of the FBiH Constitution, citizens receive from the current authorities only price increases and new problems from which the FBiH will recover with difficulty and for a long time - Novalić concluded.
