Money in accounts within the next ten days: Pensioners to receive 364 KM, other categories 579 KM in EU aid

(Patria) - Federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy Adnan Delić announced today the final results of the public call for the selection of households for the distribution of EU aid aimed at overcoming the energy crisis. According to the final list, after submitted objections to the preliminary list, a total of 154,779 households met the criteria defined by the Public Call, which is 2,291 more households compared to the preliminary list of 152,488.

Broken down by category, the largest number of qualified households is in the pensioner category, now totaling 116,933, which is 988 more than the preliminary list, followed by the category of households receiving federal child allowance, now with 31,394 households, or 1,449 more after accepted objections. In the category of permanent financial assistance beneficiaries, 94 objections were accepted, and the final list includes 5,652 households. In the category of single parents, the final list includes 800 households, which is 240 fewer than the preliminary list, given that subsequent checks determined that the reported households had no minor children, which was an elimination condition.

"There are many in the single parent category who felt they were unfairly disadvantaged and that despite being single parents, their applications were not accepted. Therefore, I want to emphasize that the Public Call clearly defined category four as the category of households where minor children live with one parent, and the other parent is either deceased or unknown," explained Minister Delić, also reminding that there was confusion in other categories as well.

"In each category, the conditions were clearly defined, and in the end, I believe the entire process was conducted transparently and could be monitored from start to finish. I think this is the first public call so clearly defined and with minimal human factor influence, given that all data was processed digitally and filtered through filters of all our databases," the minister emphasized.

He also stated that the number of 154,779 households that qualified for this aid is several tens of thousands higher than the projected 109,000 households, and that as citizens, we have reason to be grateful to the EU Delegation, which allocated 64.5 million KM to help energy-poor households in the Federation of BiH. The program for the use of funds set maximum individual amounts per category at 300 KM for pensioners and 600 KM per household for the other three categories.

Given that the final list and results of the public call show different final numbers than projected, the final individual amounts have been modified.

"We received preliminary calculated individual amounts for each category from the donor, the EU Delegation. Since the final list is complete and in the most numerous category of households we have pensioners with the lowest and guaranteed pensions, the individual amounts have been increased by 64.25 KM, meaning that pensioners will receive 364.25 KM per household, while the other three categories will receive 579.76 KM per individual household," said the minister, emphasizing that this fulfills the donor's conditions, whose requirement was that households receive more significant individual amounts and that all planned funds totaling 64,534,646.00 KM be spent.

The Government of the Federation of BiH, i.e., the Ministry of Finance, will release the funds to cities and municipalities tomorrow, and it is expected that cities and municipalities will pay the funds to citizens no later than within the next ten days.

The Ministry, concluded Minister Delić at today's press conference, will prepare a report on the entire process for the EU Delegation, containing all data and a financial report that will formally confirm that all funds were spent in accordance with the defined criteria and donor requirements.
