New guidelines for conducting classes in KS, who will all attend school

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of KS has published Guidelines for conducting classes in the period from September 14 to October 9.

The model for organizing the teaching process for elementary school students (grades I to IV, or V), as defined by Instruction no: 11-34-31987-3/20 of 26.8.2020, remains in effect until 09.10.2020. Schools have the option, if the number of elementary school classes in the regular process counts a maximum of 15 students, to organize classes for these classes without applying the combined model.

Parents/guardians of students who have stated that they want their children to attend exclusively online classes retain this right without the need for new statements, and parents who want to include their child in the teaching process are obliged to notify the elementary school teacher no later than 11.09.2020, and from next week at the latest by Thursday of the current week for the following week. 

From September 14, subject teaching from grade V, or VI to IX will also be introduced into the regular teaching process in schools according to the combined model (we remind you: the combined model of teaching is carried out in groups with a maximum of 15 students, with a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between students) which applies to elementary school classes with special organizational and implementation preparations.

When it comes to secondary schools, from 14.9. to 09.10.2020, a combined model of teaching is carried out for students in the 1st and 4th grade in groups with a maximum of 15 students per class, with a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between students. Students are divided into two shifts. In the first week, one half of the students are at school, and the other half of the students receive content via the platform, which they will process at school with the subject professor the following week at school. One week, one half of the 1st and 4th grade students attend classes at school, and the next week, the other half of the 1st and 4th grade students attend classes at school. Schools have the option, if the total number of students in the regular process counts a maximum of 15 students, to organize classes for these classes without applying the combined model.

For students who are not at school, teachers provide teaching materials adapted for independent work via the platform, with clear instructions and guidelines. It is desirable that the mentioned materials represent a compilation of materials with instructions and guidelines, which do not require immediate feedback from the student to the teacher, but rather develop independent and research-creative work.

The first shift starts at 09:00 and lasts until 12:30, and the second shift starts at 13:30 and lasts until 17:00.
