New session of the Referendum Commission, embassies warn RS is sliding into isolation

The Commission for the Implementation of the Referendum on the Day of Republika Srpska will hold its sixth session today in Banja Luka, writes Patria.

The US Embassy in BiH warned that holding the referendum would mean disregarding the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH. The Court had previously adopted a provisional measure temporarily suspending the Decision on calling the referendum, but the authorities in RS do not wish to accept such a decision.

The US Embassy reminds that holding the referendum would lead RS into isolation and insecurity.
The OHR also warned of the consequences of the referendum. As did the embassies of other countries.

The authorities in RS do not have support for the referendum even from the Government of Serbia. Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić publicly distanced himself from the referendum, writes Patria.
