New organization of public passenger transport in conditions of danger from coronavirus spread

(Patria) - For the purpose of continuing the normalization of the organization of public line passenger transport in the Sarajevo Canton, while respecting all hygienic-epidemiological measures in the circumstances of danger from the spread of coronavirus, a Working Group composed of representatives of carriers and the Ministry of Transport of KS has been formed, which has created Instructions for organizing public line passenger transport in the KS.

Also, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of KS has proposed a new model for organizing the teaching process from September 14 this year.

The new model implies an increased volume of public line passenger transport services used by students, which has created the need for an improved level of organization of public line transport in KS.

Based on today's conclusions of the Working Group, the adopted Instruction defined:

- The operation of public line passenger transport, which will be organized gradually in phases, in accordance with the epidemiological situation;

- Based on data on the number of passengers transported, as well as the expressed interest of service users, the Ministry of Transport of KS, in cooperation with carriers, will continue the normalization process in public line passenger transport.

Taking into account the recommendations of the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding public line passenger transport, carriers GRAS and Centrotrans will adjust their timetables to actual needs: at the times of students' departure and return, taking into account that the first shift starts at 09:00, and the second shift at 13:30.
