New Location: Nights at the Dobrinja Pool with Films of the 31st SFF

(Patria) - Audiences of the 31st Sarajevo Film Festival can expect another attractive festival location - the Summer Cinema Bazen Dobrinja. On this occasion, a cooperation agreement was signed today at the new festival location by the Director of the Sarajevo Film Festival, Jovan Marjanović, and the Mayor of the Novi Grad Municipality, Semir Efendić.

„Novi Grad continues its long-standing successful cooperation with the Sarajevo Film Festival. We strive together to offer our citizens the best of the Festival's programme. From this year, we have the programme at three locations. These are the Summer Cinema 'Safet Zajko', the Novi Grad cinema where the children's programme is shown, and as a new location, the Dobrinja Pool, where we will also have an unforgettable experience for all film lovers in a beautiful setting with the freshness and sound of the water next to which the screen is placed. I invite all citizens of Novi Grad, as well as others, to make the best use of the time ahead of us, reserve their tickets and enjoy the films and the nice weather expected according to forecasts during this year's Sarajevo Film Festival. We are pleased that this year, a film that had the support of the Novi Grad Municipality, 'Bosanski vitez', is part of the competition programme in the documentary film category, and it will also be shown in our Summer Cinema Safet Zajko“, stated the Mayor of the Novi Grad Municipality, Semir Efendić.

We have been cooperating with the Novi Grad Municipality for years, and we are pleased that from this year, in the area of this municipality, we also have a new festival location: the Dobrinja Pool, thanks to the initiative of Mayor Efendić. The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy nights at the pool with a film, and we are convinced that this will become a new favourite experience for the residents of Novi Grad, as well as numerous Festival visitors. We are delighted to have such a beautiful and attractive festival location“, stated Jovan Marjanović, Director of the Sarajevo Film Festival.

All three festival locations in the Novi Grad Municipality have secured parking. Tickets for the Summer Cinema Bazen Dobrinja, as well as for other festival locations, are on sale online. Physical ticket sales begin at the Main Box Office (Bosnian Cultural Centre) on 11 August at 10:00.

The 31st Sarajevo Film Festival will be held from 15 to 22 August 2025.
