SARAJevo, (Patria) - Four new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Republika Srpska, announced the Minister of Health and Social Protection of Srpska, Alen Šeranić, at a press conference in Banja Luka.
"In the first case, it is a man and a woman who spent their vacation in Austria and were in contact with a person from Croatia who is infected with the coronavirus," Šeranić said.
He stated that the second case involves a man and a woman who were in contact with an infected person in Slovenia.
"After returning to Republika Srpska, the individuals reported to the competent health institution. After the swabs were taken, it was confirmed that they are infected. It is important that all infected individuals are feeling well," Šeranić emphasized.
A total of eight people are infected with the coronavirus in Republika Srpska. 376 people are under health supervision, and five people are in isolation at the University Clinical Center. Results for three people are pending.
Šeranić demands that citizens do not have laboratory tests done in private laboratories because they are not authorized to do so and cannot guarantee the validity of coronavirus testing. Testing of samples for coronavirus is performed by the University Clinical Center in Banja Luka for its patients, and by the Institute of Public Health of RS for those from other hospitals.
"Health professionals will assess whether a person needs to have such a list of findings. For all those who do not comply with the Law, which states that the performance of microbiological activities in private health institutions is prohibited, very high penalties are foreseen," he said.
We remind you that all primary and secondary schools and faculties will be closed until March 30, and all public gatherings are prohibited.
