Tram traffic normalized, still no regular transport in hillside areas

(Patria) - After resolving problems caused by snowfall and bad weather conditions, tram traffic has been fully normalized on the Baščaršija - Ilidža route. The maximum number of vehicles are in operation, including both new and old trams, GRAS announced.

"Also, work is underway to clear snow from tram and trolleybus stops, with the available number of workers engaged. Currently, the biggest problems in public city transport are on lines serving the hillside parts of the city, where due to the terrain configuration, it is difficult to ensure road accessibility, especially considering the large number of improperly parked vehicles.

GRAS is doing everything within our jurisdiction and capabilities to ensure public city transport operates with as few problems as possible under the current weather conditions. The public will be informed in a timely manner about all changes related to public city transport. We thank citizens for their patience and understanding," GRAS emphasized.

The company did not explain why only old trams were operating this morning and throughout the day, from Nedžarići to Baščaršija. It is known that this morning in Ilidža, a crane was needed to get a new tram back on the rails.
