The world's best tennis player Novak Djokovic, after a fierce battle, defeated Gilles Simon 3:2 in the round of 16 of the Australian Open. In the quarterfinals, Djokovic will face Kei Nishikori, who eliminated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 3:0, reports the Patria News Agency.
Although Novak Djokovic was the absolute favorite in this duel, as out of their eleven previous encounters, Gilles Simon only managed to win the first one they played back in 2008, Novak had to work hard for his place in the quarterfinals in this match, according to Serbian media reports.
